  • Rampura Agucha Mine and Zawar Group of Mines of Hindustan Zinc Limited(HZL) become the first GreenCo-certified mines. They received the GreenCo Silver rating from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for their sustainable mining operations.
  • The mines were certified for their exemplary performance in waste & material management, green infrastructure & ecology, green supply chain, GHG (Green House Gas) emissions reduction, and renewable energy initiatives.
  • GreenCo Rating is the “first of its kind in the World” holistic framework that evaluates companies on the environmental friendliness of their activities using life cycle approach.
  • Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group Company, is one of the world’s largest and India’s only integrated producers of Zinc-Lead and Silver.
