  • Renowned Hindi writer Vinod Kumar Shukla will be honored with India's highest literary award, the 59th Jnanpith Award, on March 22, 2025. 
  • He will be the first writer from Chhattisgarh to receive this award. 
  • The 88-year-old short story writer, poet, and essayist, considered one of the greatest contemporary writers in the Hindi language, is the 12th Hindi writer to receive this award.
