  • Veteran Author Malti Joshi Passes Away at 90, a revered figure in the literary world and recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award, passed away at the age of 90 on 15 May 2024 after a battle with cancer.
  • Joshi, who also wrote in Marathi, had received the Padma Shri in 2018.
  • Kokh Ka Darp, Outsider, Aastha Ke Aayam and Problem Child are among her representative stories.
  • One of her works, Culture, was filmed by Gulzar for the television serial, Kirdaar.
