  • Himachal Pradesh has made history by becoming the first state to fully vaccinate its adult population against COVID-19.
  • By the end of August, Himachal Pradesh had also become the first state to achieve 100% adult population vaccination with the first dose.
  • At the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, on becoming the first state, a special celebration will be held to celebrate COVID-19 personnel.
  • The event will be attended by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
