The first biodiversity park of Himachal Pradesh has been established at a cost of Rs 1 crore at Bhulah in Janjehli Valley of Mandi district, which would prove to be a boon for researchers and tourists and also help conserve endangered Himalayan herbs.
The park has been created under National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) project by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department.
This is the first park in the state in which emphasis has been laid on conservation of endangered herbs.
Biodiversity Parks are a fascinating and creative approach to the green environment in terms of biodiversity conservation. It is, in essence, a determined endeavour to achieve a balance between nature and humanity.
