  • In line with the new education policy, the Government of Himachal Pradesh is all set to launch 'Himachal Pradesh Early Childhood Care and Education Tutor Scheme' which aims at holistic development of children in the age group of 3 to 6 years.
  • Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the government is currently running 6,297 pre-primary sections in primary schools in the state, in which about 60,000 children are receiving education and along with these primary schools, 2,377 Anganwadis are also being run.
  • In line with the National Education Policy, 2020, which recommends comprehensive early childhood care and education (ECCE), the education department will soon implement a combination of all four ECCE models in the state.
