  • Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the state will procure all crops at MSP, waive off 133 crore rupees in canal water irrigation charges (abiana), and discontinue the abiana system, benefiting farmers by 54 crore rupees annually.
  • The Chief Minister pledged to pay 137 crore rupees in pending compensation for crop damage due to natural calamities, allow farmers to buy three-star motors for tubewell connections from anywhere in the country, and announced plans to fill 40,000 government sector posts.
