Gujarat got the 'Geographical Indication' (GI) tag for Gharchola handicrafts, taking the total number of GI tags of the state to 27.
The GI tag for Gharchola is a symbol of Garvi Gurjari's efforts to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Gujarat.
