On the occasion of National Consumer Day 2024, the Department of Consumer Affairs has launched the "Jaago Grahak App", "Jagriti App", and "Jagriti Dashboard".
The Jago Grahak Jago app aims to provide essential e-commerce information about all the Universal Resource Link-URLs during the consumer's online activities, to let them know that a URL may be unsafe and caution needs to be exercised.
The Jagriti app will allow users to report URLs where they suspect the presence of one or more dark patterns that have been declared invalid.
The report will be filed as a complaint with the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) for possible redressal and subsequent action.
