Gopichand Thotakura has become the first civilian space tourist from India to join Blue Origin's New Shepherd-25 mission.
Gopichand Thotakura studied aeronautical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.
Gopichand Thotakura had the distinction of becoming the first Indian space tourist to travel to space as part of the crew in Blue Origin's New Shepherd-25 mission of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Gopichand Thotakura has become the second Indian to go to space after Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma of the Indian Army.
