Goa Wins National Recognition for Energy Efficiency

Goa has won the second prize in Category 4 of the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025, recognising its efforts in promoting energy efficiency and sustainable practices. The award, presented by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi, was conferred by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Ministry of Power. Goa’s state-designated agency, led by Mayur Hede, played a key role in implementing energy efficiency programmes, promoting best practices, and coordinating compliance. The recognition underscores the state’s commitment to sustainable development and energy conservation.
