Goa's 'Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan' scheme aims to enhance solar rooftop installations, aligning with the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with an initial investment of Rs 35 crore and support for consumers using 400 or fewer units per year.
The Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with a total budget of Rs 75,021 crore, will run until the fiscal year 2026-27 to promote solar energy adoption across India and reduce dependence on traditional power sources.
