  • On October 17, the Global Maritime India Summit started in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
  • This is the third edition of the Global Maritime India Summit.
  • This summit was inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister.
  • Prime Minister unveiled 'Amrit Kaal Vision 2047', a long-term roadmap for the Indian Ocean Blue Economy.
  • The roadmap outlines strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing port facilities, promoting sustainable practices and facilitating international cooperation.
  • Armenia, Italy, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Comoros, Nepal, Spain, Iran and Tanzania have been selected as partner countries of this summit.
  • Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Andaman Nicobar Islands have been kept as partner states.
