The Global Fisheries Conference began on November 21, 2023.
This conference is being organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The conference was inaugurated by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Purshottam Rupala.
The objective of this event is to create a platform for the Indian fisheries and aquaculture sector in collaboration with stakeholders in the fisheries value chain.
The theme of this conference has been 'Celebrating Fisheries and Aquaculture Wealth'.
Uttar Pradesh won the best state award in the inland fisheries category in this conference.
