A glacier in remote Antarctica has been named 'Glasgow Glacier' in honor of the city in view of the United Nations Climate Conference which began in Glasgow city of Scotland.
Researchers from the University of Leeds formally named the 100-kilometer-long body of ice, which has been rapidly melting, to commemorate the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's 26th Conference of Parties (COP26) (UNFCCC).
