The Chinkerpoo Family Trust, promoted by IndiGo co-founder Rakesh Gangwal, sold a 1.3% stake in the airline worth ₹2,933 crore through open market transactions. This brings the cumulative stake sale by the Gangwal family, including Rakesh Gangwal and his wife Shobha Gangwal, to ₹39,532.79 crore ($4.51 billion) in 2025, with ₹14,497 crore worth of shares offloaded this year alone.
