The Central Government has issued a gazette notification listing gallantry award citations for defence personnel for acts of extraordinary bravery during various operations, including Operation Sindoor. The list includes heroes from the Indian Army and Air Force, such as Colonel Koshank Lamba and Lieutenant Colonel Sushil Bisht, both awarded the Vir Chakra for exceptional courage and leadership. Group Captain Ranjeet Singh Sidhu and Group Captain Animesh Patni were also awarded the Vir Chakra for outstanding operational performance in strike and missile missions. Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu had approved 127 Gallantry awards and 40 Distinguished Service awards for Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel.
