  • GAIL (India) Ltd., the nation's leading natural gas transmission and Distribution Company, has commissioned its first green hydrogen plant in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. 
  • The inauguration was attended by Pankaj Jain, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and highlighting government support for this initiative.
  • The innovative plant, featuring 10 Megawatt (MW) PEM Electrolyzer units, has a production capacity of 4.3 Tons Per Day (TPD) of hydrogen. 
  • This hydrogen will initially be used as a fuel in conjunction with natural gas for various internal processes and equipment at the Vijaipur facility, utilizing renewable energy sources for electrolysis.
