  • In the recently concluded GST Council meeting, The maximum age limit of the Chairperson and members of the Appellate Tribunal has been changed.
  • G.S.T.A.T. The maximum age of the Chairman was fixed at 70 years and the maximum age of the members was fixed at 67 years respectively.
  • Earlier, the maximum age of the Chairman and members was 67 years and 65 years respectively.
  • In September, 2023, the Central Government has announced 31 GST reforms across the country. The formation of the Appellate Tribunal was approved.
  • The GST Council is chaired by the Union Finance Minister.
