France will preside over the European Union for six months from January to June 2022.
For the 13th time, France occupies the rotating presidency.
The country would prioritise digitization and climate protection for the continent.
The motto of France as EU President is “recovery, strength, and belonging.”
After completing a six-month presidency, the Czech Republic will assume the presidency of the Council of the European Union in July 2022.
