The foundation day of Uttarakhand was celebrated on 9 November.
The main function of this day was organized at Dehradun Police Lines.
President Draupadi Murmu attended the function as the chief guest.
Uttarakhand was carved out of Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000.
Uttarakhand became the 27th state of the country.
Uttarakhand is also known as 'Land of Gods' or 'Devbhoomi'.
At the time of establishment it was known as Uttaranchal.
Its name was changed to Uttarakhand in the year 2007.
Its 23rd foundation day was celebrated in the year 2023.
Uttarakhand is bordered by Tibet, and Nepal, including the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.
Uttarakhand is home to the four most sacred Hindu temples, known as Char-Dham.
These Dhams are – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamnotri.
