Jharkhand's Foundation Day is celebrated every year on 15 November.
Jharkhand was earlier a part of Bihar.
Jharkhand was formed as a new state on November 15, 2000.
At the time of formation, Jharkhand became the 28th state of the country.
Jharkhand is made up of two words "Jhar" and "Khand". "Jhar" means forest and "Khand" means land.
Thus, the world Jharkhand means land of forest.
The 23rd Foundation Day of Jharkhand was celebrated in the year 2023.
Presently the Governor of Jharkhand is C.P. Radhakrishna.
The Chief Minister of Kharkhand is Hemant Soren.
