  • Former Karnataka Chief Minister and former Union Minister SM Krishna passed away at his residence in Sadashivanagar in Bengaluru. He was 92. 
  • He was the Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1999 to 2004 and the External Affairs Minister of India from 2009 to 2012. He also served as the 18th Governor of Maharashtra from 2004 to 2008.
