  • Five-time Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala passed away on 20 December 2024 at the age of 89 at his residence in Gurugram due to cardiac arrest.
  • Om Prakash Chautala was born on January 1, 1935 in Chautala village of Sirsa and became the Chief Minister for the first time on December 2, 1989.
  • Chautala's grandson Dushyant Chautala has been the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana. He is also a former Lok Sabha MP from Hisar constituency.
