First Solar City of Uttar Pradesh

Ayodhya is a municipal corporation of Uttar Pradesh.
Ayodhya will become the first solar city of Uttar Pradesh.
The responsibility of making Ayodhya the first solar city of the state has been entrusted to the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
NTPC will set up a 40 MW capacity solar power plant in Ayodhya.
A solar park will also be built on the banks of Saryu river.
According to the proposed plan, all public transport, street lights and boats of Ayodhya will run on solar energy.
Recently Sanchi in Madhya Pradesh has been declared the country's first solar city.
