  • The Indian Coast Guard's first indigenously built Pollution Control Vessel, named 'Samudra Pratap', was launched in Goa on 29th August 2024. 
  • The vessel is designed to combat oil spills along India's coastline and was constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL).
  • The ship will assist in detection and prevention of oil spill incidents off the coasts of the country.
