The UN General Assembly, through Resolution 77/295, has declared February 10 as the International Day of the Arabian Leopard to raise awareness about the species.
Listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List, the Arabian leopard’s rapid decline threatens biodiversity in its native habitat.
The observance aims to promote conservation, restore the species as a flagship for sustainability, and highlight the vital role of biodiversity in maintaining healthy ecosystems.
