The social media company Facebook has changed its name. From now on the world will know Facebook as 'Meta'.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg made this announcement during a meeting. This change does not apply to individual platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, only the parent company name has been changed to 'Meta'.
The company's focus is now on creating a metaverse that will open a virtual world where different tools can be used for transfer and communication.
