  • Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has been named FWA Footballer of the Year.
  • Haaland has scored 51 times in his first 47 appearances for City, including a record-breaking 35 goals in 32 Premier League matches.
  • Arsenal players Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard came second and third respectively.
  • Haaland is the sixth City player to win the award since its inception in 1948, after Don Revie (1955), Bert Trautmann (1956), Tony Book (1969), Raheem Sterling (2019) and Ruben Dias (2021).
  • Chelsea striker Sam Kerr won the FWA Women's Footballer of the Year prize for the second season in a row.
  • Australian Kerr has scored 26 goals in 34 Chelsea appearances this season. Ten of those goals have come in the Women's Super League.
  • Kerr is the first ever woman to win the award in consecutive years.
