  • Former England captain Eoin Morgan has announced retirement from all forms of cricket.
  • Dublin-born Morgan made his ODI debut aged 16 with Ireland before he was called up by England in 2009.
  • Morgan played 16 Tests, 248 ODIs and 115 T20Is between 2006 and 2022. He scored 7701 ODI runs and 2458 T20I runs. He also has 700 runs in 16 Tests.
  • Morgan had retired from international cricket in July last year
  • Morgan captained England in 126 ODIs and 72 T20s, registering 118 wins as skipper across the two formats.
  • Morgan’s last appearance came for the Paarl Royals in the semi-final of the recently concluded SA20 League.
