  • England Test captain Ben Stokes has broken the world record for smashing most sixes in Test cricket history. 
  • With his first six in England's second innings against New Zealand in the first Test, Stokes took his tally of sixes in Test cricket to 108. 
  • He overtook former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who held the previous record with 107 sixes.
  • Stokes smashed another six in the innings, and now tops the list with 109 sixes to his name in 164 innings so far.
  • In 90 Test matches, Stokes scored a total of 5,652 runs at an average of 36.00 with 109 sixes and 12 centuries and 28 fifties.
  • Among Indians, Virender Sehwag is the highest six-hitter in Tests and sits right behind Kallis at the sixth spot, with 91 sixes to his name in the format.
