  • Egypt has been accepted as a new member of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB).
  • The NDB is adding Egypt as its fourth new member.
  • Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay already included as members of the NDB
  • NDB was established in July 2015. Its headquarters is in Shanghai, China.
  • It was established by the BRICS countries, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
