On July 11, 2025, India’s Astra Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM), fitted with an indigenous Radio Frequency Seeker, was successfully flight-tested by DRDO and the Indian Air Force using a Su-30 Mk-I aircraft. The missile has a range exceeding 100 km and is powered by an advanced guidance and navigation system. Over 50 Indian industries, including HAL, contributed to the indigenous development of this cutting-edge missile system.
