Dr. Rahul Gupta has been appointed as the Director of the United States' National Drug Control Policy. The United States Senate approves it.
Rahul Gupta is the first medical doctor to lead the White House's Office of National Drug Control Policy.
He was previously a clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, as well as an adjunct professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Leadership in the School of Public Health at West Virginia University, and a visiting faculty member at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
