Mahaparinirvan Day of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is celebrated every year on 6 December.
Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow Military Cantonment, Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Ambedkar died on 6 December 1956 in Delhi.
He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1990.
His place of nirvana is known as 'Chaitya Bhoomi'.
This 'Chaitya Bhoomi' is situated in Mumbai.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was the first Law and Justice Minister of the country.
His 67th Mahaparinirvan day is being celebrated in the year 2023.
