The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS) to strengthen India’s biotech startup ecosystem. Under this partnership, more than 500 biotech startups will be supported over the next three years through strategic guidance, technological access, investor connections, and training. Initiatives such as the Bioverse Challenge and the Bioverse Mentors Circle will be launched to provide high-potential startups with access to R&D facilities and intensive mentorship. This initiative, launched in collaboration with DPIIT and Startup India, combines Thermo Fisher’s global expertise with India’s innovation network, marking a significant step towards positioning the country as a global hub for biotechnology innovation.
