The Defence Ministry dedicated the indigenously built Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Sarthak’ to the nation during a ceremony in Goa. Sarthak will significantly increase India's maritime safety and security.
The ship Sarthak will be located in Porbandar, Gujarat, and will operate along India's western coast under the command of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (Northwest).
The Defence Ministry emphasised that the Indian Coast Guard is a pioneer in introducing indigenous platforms, citing the Indian Coast Guard ship Sarthak as an example of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
