  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the groundwork for a Defence Technology & Test Centre (DTTC) and a BrahMos manufacturing centre to be established by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in Lucknow.
  • This is the first of its kind Defense Technology and Testing Center (DTTC) coming up in about 22 acres to accelerate the development of defense and aerospace manufacturing clusters in the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor (UP DIC).
  • This new centre will be ready in two to three years and will begin production at a rate of 80-100 BRAHMOS-NG missiles per year.
