Former England captain David Beckham has been formally knighted, receiving the title “Sir” in recognition of his outstanding contributions to football, charity, and public life. The 50-year-old was honoured by King Charles III during a ceremony at Windsor Castle, attended by his wife Victoria and parents Sandra and David. Beckham, who captained England for six years and made 115 appearances, had a stellar club career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain. Beyond football, he has actively supported UNICEF since 2005, launched the 7 Fund in 2015, and became an ambassador for the King’s Foundation in 2024.
