The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has decided to celebrate March 19 as the CRPF Day Parade every year.
The parade held to mark the occasion will also be called ‘CRPF Day Parade’ instead of ‘Anniversary Day Parade’.
The way a grand parade is held on Army Day, in the same way now every year on March 19, 'CRPF Day Parade' will be organized.
Sardar Patel presented the flag i.e. President Colors to the CRPF on 19th March in 1950. CRPF is the only paramilitary force in the country which was established before independence.
