  • 31-year-old Vanitha VR cited recurring injuries as the reason for her retirement.
  • Vanitha, who picked up the sport 19 years ago, made her debut for the country against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam in 2014. She figured in six ODIs and 16 T20Is including the 2016 World T20 tournament.
  • Vanitha also has the distinction of scoring a double century in the KSCA league (93-ball-206).
