Recently, Colonel Sunita has become the first woman to command the Armed Forces Transfusion Centre.
Armed Forces Transfusion Center is located in New Delhi.
Prior to this, she served as the Commanding Officer of a strategically important field hospital in Arunachal Pradesh.
Presently Colonel Sunita has been given the responsibility of managing AFTC, the largest blood transfusion center of the armed forces.
It has state-of-the-art facilities in the field of transfusion medicine including stem cell cryopreservation, fully automated immuno-hematology analyzer.
