South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, inaugurated its first all-women-operated Central Store Unit at the Central Workshop in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The inauguration, part of the Government of India’s Special Campaign 5.0, was attended by SECL’s senior leadership, including CMD Harish Duhan, who highlighted the initiative’s role in promoting women’s leadership in the coal sector. This milestone strengthens gender equity, aligns with Union Minister of Coal G. Kishan Reddy’s vision and sets a benchmark for women’s empowerment in India’s industrial and energy sectors.
