  • Recently Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Yojana has been started by Himachal Pradesh Government.
  • The objective of this scheme is to provide higher education facilities to needy children and destitute women.
  • This fund has been established for the needy of all sections of the state.
  • This scheme is being run for the protection of orphan children.
  • Under this scheme, the state government will bear the entire cost of education of orphan children.
  • These children will be given a stipend of Rs 4,000 per month as pocket money while pursuing higher education.
  • For this the state government has allocated Rs 101 crore.
