Shivaji Jayanti 2023 marks Shivaji Maharaj’s 393rd birth anniversary.
This day is an official holiday across Maharashtra. Many people will also celebrate it according to the Hindu Calendar on 10th March 2023.
Chhatrapati Shivaji, is one of the most courageous rulers of India, he stood up against the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, and founded the Maratha Kingdom.
He got the title of Chhatrapati in 1674. Chhatrapati means emperor.
He is thus remembered for his fearlessness each year on his birthday. Every year on the 19th of February, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is celebrated with much enthusiasm.
