  • In Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is hosting the Women 20 (W20), an official G-20 grouping founding meeting, from 27 February.
  • More than 150 delegates from G20 countries are participating in the meeting and the meeting has been inaugurated by the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani.
  • The W20 is an official engagement group under the G20, which was established during the Turkish presidency in 2015.
  • A W20 International meet is next scheduled at Jaipur, Rajasthan, on April 13 and 14. After that, there will be a W20 Summit at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, on June 15 and 16.
