  • The BCCI announced the All-India Senior Selection Committee, retaining Chetan Sharma for the post of chairman of selectors.
  • He has been re-appointed exactly two months after his entire panel was disbanded by the BCCI for the Indian team’s semi-final exit in the T20 World Cup.
  • He was the head of the board's selection committee from December 2020 till last month.
  • The committee also named Shiv Sundar Das (Central Zone), Subroto Banerjee (East Zone), Salil Ankola (West Zone) and Sridharan Sharath (South Zone) as the other members of the selection panel.
  • The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra, and Jatin Paranjape undertook an extensive process for selecting members of the committee.
