The mission is being carried out by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and aims to demonstrate critical technology for landing the spacecraft on the Moon.
Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 and is designed to showcase the capability of safe landing and roving on the lunar surface.
The mission consists of a Lander module, Propulsion module, and a Rover, all of which are indigenous.
The primary objectives of Chandrayaan-3 include achieving a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface, rover roving on the Moon, and conducting in-situ scientific experiments.
