According to Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, the Centre has released ₹36,027 crore up to 11 August 2025 under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure and Investment (SASCI) scheme. Responding in Parliament, Chaudhary noted that since the scheme’s inception in FY 2021, a total of ₹3,66,249.45 crore has been allocated to states and union territories till FY 2025. The scheme incentivizes states to carry out reforms in various sectors, with the Centre providing financial assistance to support developmental and investment-related activities.
