The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has unveiled the WAVEX Start-up Challenge 2025, a national initiative to discover innovative start-ups capable of creating ‘BhashaSetu’, an AI-based multilingual translation platform. The hackathon encourages real-time translation, transliteration, and voice localisation across at least 12 major Indian languages, with no eligibility barrier for participation.
